What if my code is a mess?
It doesn't matter, and you don't need to tidy it before showing us. We've spent ten years opening up code at large companies inside and outside Mexico, and almost none of it was clean; yours isn't going to scare us. In the free session we look at it as it is and tell you what has to be fixed to put it online and what can stay exactly as it is.
Does it matter what I built it with?
No. We take any project that already runs on your machine, whatever the language, the framework or the tool you used. If it starts on your computer, it can go online. The more unusual the case, the longer the review takes — which is why we don't publish a fixed price — but there is no list of technologies we accept and another we don't.
What does it cost to put my project online?
It depends how far it is from being able to go online, and that only shows once we open it. A project that already stores its data properly and just needs a domain and hosting costs considerably less than one where the database has to move and the passwords have to come out of the code. That's why the first session is free: we use it to look, and to give you a fixed price before you decide anything.
Am I going to depend on you forever?
No, and it's designed so you don't. The domain is bought in your name, the hosting and database sit in your accounts, and on handover we give you a session teaching you to push changes yourself. If you want to continue with another team tomorrow, you take everything without asking us.
It's online now. How do I turn it into an actual product?
That's a different conversation and we have it in advisory. Putting it online is the technical part: an address exists and it stays up. Turning it into a product — who it's for, what to charge, what to build next and what to cut — gets solved sitting down for an hour.
